Sensitivity consultation

If you are writing about an identity that you do not share - e.g. if you are a white author writing a Black character - this service ensures that you are not accidentally using harmful stereotypes.

I can provide sensitivity reading for the following areas:

• Race and racism (particularly anti-blackness)

• Mixed heritage experiences

• Trauma and PTSD

I am also an experienced speaker, particularly on social justice issues in media. I have spoken at Eastercon, Afrotech Fest, Videobrains, and Nine Worlds. My subjects have included everything from Subtle Forms of Racism to Avoid in SFF to Portrayals of Protest in Fiction and Reality.
